CARRICK CLOVER
Carrick Clover’s sire is the legendary Clover Hill (RID).
Carrick Clover’s Dam is Carrick Errigal Lass (ISH). We do not know much about her except that with “Errigal” in her name she is likely included within The King of Diamonds dynasty. (Errigal is the sire of The King of Diamonds) We have been told by her breeder that her dam was in fact by The King of Diamonds but we have no proof of this fact. We do know however that her sire was the French bred jumping thoroughbred, Odin.
Carrick Clover has had no formal education prior to his purchase. However during his purchase try out he jumped a 1.20 metres oxer with a single back pole both forwards and backwards!!!... He had an enormous amount of raw talent, an excellent natural jump and a great ability to learn quickly.
Carrick Clover is now competing at International shows and is based in Ireland. He is jumping superbly and has placed and won some at some of the top shows in the country. Like his stable mate Clover Flush, Carrick Clover has competed at shows throughout Ireland, Hickstead in England and most recently travelled to Italy to follow the jumping circuit over there.
At Hickstead, in England, Carrick Clover won the Gladwish Land Sales Trophy - a 1.60m Grand Prix against company like the Whitakers, Peter Charles etc.
Some showjumping “experts” believe that he is the most talented of the three stallions. His best performances in Australia to date are three futurity wins at Mt. Gambier, Shepparton World Cup Show and Bega World Cup Show where he also won “Horse of the Show” as he also placed third in both the B Grade and the Mini Prix. His most recent win was at The 2002 Red Hill Show where he won the A & B Grade.
At his first World Cup start at the 2002 Adelaide Royal Show he placed third.
At only his 2nd World Cup start he placed FIRST with the only double clear round.
