Our Story
A long history in Gippsland equestrian sport
Tonimbuk Equestrian Centre has a long and proud history as one of Victoria's premier equestrian venues. Located in the heart of Gippsland, the centre has hosted generations of riders — from grassroots competitors taking their first steps in competition to international FEI-level athletes.
The venue is operated by Tonimbuk Horse Trials Inc, a not-for-profit incorporated association whose volunteer committee has dedicated countless hours to building and maintaining the world-class facilities that define the centre today.
Each March, Tonimbuk becomes the focal point of the Australian equestrian calendar when it hosts the annual Tonimbuk International Horse Trials — the flagship event that draws competitors and spectators from across Australia and beyond.

Tonimbuk Equestrian Centre is managed entirely by a dedicated volunteer committee who give their time and expertise to ensure the venue operates to the highest possible standard. Their commitment is what makes Tonimbuk truly special.
